CASTLE (Calgarians Against Sex Trafficking and Labour Exploitation) became a University of Calgary club in April 2019. Our goal is to educate students about the reality of human trafficking and how we can fight against it. We organize informative events on campus, connect members with volunteering opportunities, and equip members with a proactive knowledge of this issue. This involves partnering with local anti-human trafficking organizations for speakers and volunteering opportunities. Our partnerships connect the campus to the community, and we work together with our partners to improve the human trafficking situation in Calgary.
Members of CASTLE have access to volunteering opportunities across the city of Calgary. We give members basic resources to be informed about human trafficking. Membership costs $5 per university term. Anyone can be a member, whether or not they are affiliated with the University of Calgary. Contact us to sign up.
